Hi, I’m Ollie, the founder of Mind Matters, and I believe that life’s challenges don’t have to be faced alone. Whether you’re navigating trauma, managing stress, or seeking personal growth, everyone deserves a safe space to heal and evolve. Mind Matters was created with this in mind—to provide support, guidance, and a compassionate approach to mental wellbeing.
My journey into psychotherapy began with my own lived experience of trauma. As one of the one in three people who develop PTSD after enduring severe trauma, I spent over two decades searching for answers—trying to understand why my mind felt different from others’. That journey reshaped my life and ultimately inspired me to help others find their own path to healing.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years in the energy sector, working in project and contract management—globally, in offices and on worksites. I understand the pressures and demands of modern corporate environments. Yet, my passion for mental wellbeing always called to me. Over 20+ years in the industry, I developed a deep understanding of human behaviour and decision-making, sharpening my analytical and strategic thinking—skills I now integrate into my therapeutic work. Today, I combine this knowledge with my personal experiences to provide a holistic, client-centred approach to mental health.
At Mind Matters, I personalise my support to meet each individual’s needs, ensuring a pace that feels both comfortable and effective. My approach is holistic, drawing from professional expertise and personal experience with PTSD, OCD, and the lasting effects of trauma. I offer online therapy sessions, making it easier to connect from the comfort of your own space, and I also travel to corporate sites to deliver workshops that promote mental wellbeing in high-pressure environments. Taking the first step towards mental wellbeing can feel daunting, but it can also be transformative. My role is to guide you through that journey with empathy and without judgement.
Mental health isn’t just about overcoming struggles—it’s about empowering yourself to thrive. Whether you’re managing chronic pain, overcoming phobias, adjusting to life’s transitions, or simply seeking greater peace of mind, therapy can be a powerful tool. My approach is highly individualised—there’s no "one size fits all" solution. Every client receives the care and attention they deserve.
Through Mind Matters, I aim to do more than provide therapy—I strive to create a supportive space where mental wellbeing is accessible to everyone. Whether through educational content, humour, or personal insight, my mission is to make mental health care approachable and stigma-free. Having faced my own struggles, I understand the power of support, and that’s why I’m so passionate about helping others find hope and healing.
Ultimately, mental health care should be free from stigma and available to all. At Mind Matters, my goal is to empower individuals to explore their mental wellbeing in a way that feels right for them. I’m here to support your journey—at your own pace—towards healing, growth, and a stronger mindset.
Remember—change starts with the mind. Let’s take that first step together.
We take a holistic approach to therapy, considering the physical, emotional, and social factors that can impact mental health. Our goal is to help our clients develop the skills and resilience they need to navigate life's challenges. We work with a wide variety of clients, across all ages and backgrounds, offering tailored support to meet individual and organisational needs. We provide one-to-one sessions, particularly for hypnotherapy, counselling, and coaching, ensuring personalised care. We also work with groups, especially for mindfulness-based sessions.
In addition, we collaborate with businesses to support workplace wellbeing, delivering corporate workshops and training sessions designed to enhance resilience, reduce stress, and promote a positive work environment. By integrating mindfulness, stress management techniques, and therapeutic strategies, we help employees and leaders develop healthier coping mechanisms and a more balanced approach to professional and personal challenges.
